Halloween is just a week away, so we thought we would do a little feature of cute Halloween themed treats that also make great favors. These yummy party food can be individually packaged into fun gifts for kids and adults alike. Give them out to trick or treaters or display them as party favors at your Halloween bash. No matter what you do with them it’s inevitable that they will be a hit.
Navel Oranges as Pumpkins
For healthy treats give out little oranges decorated as pumpkins. This is great for a kids party or an adult party. It will also make parents of your trick or treaters very happy.
Fruit Ghosts and Pumpkins
Another healthy idea with fruits, this one is great for a kid party. Cut bananas in half and decorate them as ghosts with raisins or mini chocolate chips. You can also peel the oranges for your little guys and create stems with celery. They look beautiful as small pumpkins.
Orange Jack-o-lantern Salad Cups
Use your orange peels as mini salad cups for the grown ups or use this idea to get the little guys to eat salad. We think they are very classy.
Marshmallow Blood Shot Eye Balls
We love these creepy eye balls made with marshmallows, dried cranberries and strawberry syrup. Sweet yummy flavors in a fun treat.
Nutter Butter Ghost Cookies
We love this idea for ghosts using nutter butter cookies. It’s a easy semi-homemade treat. Wrap them in individual cello bags or even vellum pouches for Halloween party favor presentation.
With the big wedding weekend the new Mrs. Clooney has made quite a mark for being a fashionista. For this week’s special on wedding gowns, how could we feature anything else other than the many looks of Amal Alamuddin on one of the biggest weekends of her life.
First and foremost, we know everyone wants to know the details about the wedding gown. It turned out to be Oscar de la Renta, a gorgeous lace gown that was hand embroidered with pearls and diamante accents. Oscar de la Renta crafted the custom, off-the-shoulder cream dress, which was made with ivory tulle and 14 yards of Chantilly lace.
At the reception the new bride slipped into a Gatsby-style party frock from Oscar de la Renta’s fall 2014 collection. The dress was shortened from its originally featured length to Alamuddin’s mid-thigh, making it a true dancing dress. To complete Amal’s post-ceremony look, de la Renta paired the dress with hand-embroidered beaded silver pumps.
The weekend started with when the couple headed out to their mini bachelor and bachelorette parties on Friday prior to the wedding. Amal was seen in a black and white striped silk Dolce & Gabbana dress. A few hours later she headed out to her rehearsal dinner in a red and black custom poppy print Alexander McQueen, which had a shorter hemline in the front and dipped down in the back.
As we previously feature, Amal was first seen in public as a new bride when the couple headed out to a lunch they were hosting the day after their wedding. She was wearing a white Giambattista Valli Couture 5 macramé embroidered dress. She saved an elegant piece for Monday when she and Clooney appeared for their civil ceremony. She had on a white Stella McCartney two-piece bespoke suit with black detail and matching hat.
Her wedding looks were flawlessly befitting, down to the last outfit.
